DVD DONATIONS WANTED...

The holidays are over and you probably have viewed all those new DVDs you received.  Did you receive a few that you don’t enjoy or never will watch again?  How about donating them to the library and receive a tax receipt for them. Don’t let them collect dust - clean out today!

Donate them to the library - we now are swapping out these extra copies of DVDs for AUDIO CD BOOKS through an online exchange service.

EBAY as a Home-Based Business

 5-Saturday Class  Sessions

February 20th & 27th, 2010

March 6th, 13th & 20th, 2010

All Classes are from Noon to 2:50pm

 

This 1-credit course is designed to provide students the opportunity to learn and practice the skills required to open and operate a successful home-based business using eBay and other internet auction and resource sites.

 

Basic familiarity with computer operations and the internet is recommended.

 ON-GOING ACTIVITIES & PROGRAMS
 

"PRE-SCHOOL STORY TIME & ACTIVITIES"

JANUARY THEME: 

"Winter Fun"

Wednesday's 10:15 to 11:15 AM

December 2, 9, 16, 23, 30th

Children ages 2½-5½ are welcome to come and enjoy stories, crafts, music, games, music & lots of fun!  Come join us!

We will be learning about the weather, where do animals go in the winter what people wear in the winter and the fun things that we do in the winter.

We also started learning about our Alphabet.  Of course A is the first letter we wrote, learned the sound and discovered words that begin with A (both long and short sounds).

NEW COMPUTER FOR THE CHILDREN!

 

Kids need to come into the library and check out our brand spanking new children’s computer with terrific sound.  Also lots of super new computer games!

We have over 100 new young adult and junior books for teens and tweens.

 

There are lots of fiction, science fiction, non fiction, and biographies, too.  We have a special section all set up just for the new books.  Teens need to check out it out!!

ATTENTION HOME SCHOOLING PARENTS!

 

The Isabelle Hunt Memorial Public Library in Pine, Arizona wants to provide services and programs for the home schooled children (grades K – 12) in the Pine/Strawberry area.  We need ideas and input from parents to help us determine what kinds of services and programs we should begin first.

Parents, please stop by the Pine Library and fill out an anonymous Home School Survey.  We sure need and will greatly appreciate your help!
